Wii Error 208010
I recieved error code 208010 after trying to buy 2000 Wiipoints with a visa credit card. All my information was correct, I used a valid card and all, and I tried two times. I've used the card before all over, so it's not that. It said try again later and visit support.nintendo.com. The error code isn't in nintendo's database.
Solution: (thanks to Matt) I too received this error when trying to purchase Wii Points on the Shop Channel. I confirmed my card details and tried three times, but got the error 208010 all three times. The problem was my router\'s NAT firewall. I believe the port required for the Shop Channel\'s secure connection was blocked on my router and no data could get through, causing error 208010. The solution for me was to temporarily place my Wii in the DMZ (unprotected zone) on my router, purchase the Wii points and then place it back inside the firewall. Worked a charm.
