Wii Error 209576 (thanks Ian)
Users reported that they received this message while trying to access the Wii Shop, this is the same Error as 209600 so don't be confused about the solutions that follow.
Some users who were sure that their wireless connection was setup right waited a short time and tried again. This time it worked. This could be due to
server issues when many people access the "site"
I have another solution for this, change your wireless router to channel 1. This worked for me as well as some people on the Nsider forums. Testing my connection in the options menu is faster now too. (thanks to anonymous, via email)
I kept getting the 209601 error when trying to connect to the Wii Shop Channel, but after a few 'try again's I got in... After browsing a bit I clicked on Shopping Guide and after a long wait it gave me the 209600 error. I just clicked try again to reconnect to the Shop Channel and then after a click it went to the Shopping Guide fine. Seems like it's a Timeout error.
Just to give you a little more information on Wii Error 209576. It appears to be a DNS error. I started getting this error just yesterday. But, when I was setting up my PS3 today for wireless it was having problems as well. It gives a more descriptive error message. It said that it couldn\'t resolve the server name. My ISP had apparhently changed their DNS servers, but my wireless router hadn\'t renewed it\'s address yet to pick them up and therefore pass them along to the clients. As soon as the DNS server addresses were fixed, both the PS3 and Wii wireless networks are working like champs. Hope this is helpful to you. Great site by the way. (thanks Chris)

Have had this error for ages trying to access Wii shop. Everything else was fine - even got the weather update.
Here is what (finally!) resolved the problem.
I tried to view and agree to the Internet agreement - got a different Internet error (can\'t remember number, sorry). Turned out the primary DNS was down - changed the DNS settings and got through to view the agreement, and accepted it. Wii shop now works - no more 209576.
My advice to anyone with this error is that they run through the agreement steps again.
Not sure whether this error relates solely to DNS. It could be DNS related to viewing the agreement. Wii Ebook with Repair Section
